The multitrack editing function
Suhail from FireCut
joanne grosser: You can see the preview of cuts before actually making them. Adjust the settings until you like the preview ✌

Suhail from FireCut and that is a helpful function! if it worked.. it does give me a preview if i dont change the stock settings, but if i do change them it doesnt give me a preview. I am editing RAW footage. Does the program not work well with RAW?
It silences all 45mins of the track apart from maybe a dozen 3 second spots
Suhail from FireCut
joanne grosser: Can you share a screenshot where it doesn't show you the preview? You should ALWAYS be able to just scroll down and see a preview of the cuts to be made

Suhail from FireCut sorry for the ate reply. I've been very busy. I will attach some screen shots for reference. When I change the settings of how I want it cut, instead of using the stock parameters, it stops working. It also takes 20 odd minutes to analyze in the 1st place.
I thought it may have been due to the higher file size in the 1st project i was using it for; but now Ive tried it with this basic edit and its still not working

joanne grosser From your screenshots, I don't see an issue with the preview - I can see it in all of them, and the one where it's showing settings instead of the preview of cuts, the scrollbar indicates you could scroll down to see it.
But to what is probably the real problem - you said "it is disabling a large part of your timeline". The feature doesn't disable the timeline itself, it just switches between the video tracks (cameras) available. So the problem you're having is that FireCut is suggesting to show 1 of the cameras only for most of the sequence. You can adjust this by changing the parameters. For example, when you have "Preference for wide shots" set to 45%, it is suggesting most of your sequence to only show the wide shots. That's presumably not what you want, so just reduce that % to be 0-5% and you'll see much more cuts being suggested.

Hi Joanne - which feature are you using?
