Mutlitrack text edit - update: Just keeping things in the same format...I just discovered that Premiere can only analyze/show one audio track at a time (as opposed to only show A1 in the transcript tab) so the better workaround than what I said earlier would be to disable the tracks where a speaker isn't talking. When I do that, it will create a combined transcript. So, that would make my feature request not particularly valuable in the near term. In your documentation, it might be useful to document it as a potential workflow: Use the multicam editing function in Firecut making sure to checkmark the "mute audio channels not in shot" Firecut does its thing you can do text based editing to find your soundbites with the combined transcript (because clips where speakers aren't talking are disabled) Once rough cuts assembled, use the other Firecut features - silences, filler words, repetition, etc. App version: 1.2.1, Platform: cep

Feature Request: Enhanced Transcription and Text-Based Editing I say this without knowing how big of an engineering lift this is, but a highly beneficial feature would be the ability to perform Text Editing directly through FireCut. Current Premiere Pro Limitation: While Premiere Pro has a "Text" panel for transcripts, its text-editing functionality is severely limited, seemingly only processing audio from track A1 in the Transcript tab. If dialogue is spread across multiple tracks (e.g., for different speakers), the transcript panel only displays dialogue from the single track, making text-based editing difficult. (I could create a static transcript from multiple tracks, but then I can't do text based editing, so that sucks) Current Workflow Hurdle: To use Premiere's limited text-editing capabilities for a full transcript in a multi-track scenario, I must currently: Export all audio tracks as a single file. Re-import the combined audio. Add it back to the timeline. Re-transcribe the audio. This process is highly inefficient. FireCut Solution/Benefit: Integrating robust transcription and text-editing features directly into FireCut would dramatically speed up workflows, particularly for large-scale projects. This feature would be invaluable for: Drastically culling an edit. Quickly identifying the best short-form clips for social media and other uses. Context and Vision: My previous experience with Descript highlights the value of text-based editing—it is fast and excellent in certain aspects, but ultimately lacks the comprehensive functionality of Premiere Pro. If FireCut could effectively replicate the core benefits of Descript inside Premiere, it would offer a superior solution for many editors. FireCut already demonstrates strong capabilities in related areas (caption tools, silence/filler-word removal, and multicam editing), making it the ideal platform to integrate this enhanced transcription and text-editing functionality. I'd love to see a feature similar to deleting filler words, deleting repeated words, not just phrases. e.g. the speaker says "I think, I think this is the right way to do it" and Firecut identifies both instances of "I think" and then we have opportunity to delete them quickly. It would be great to have the ability to delete all at once, and also be able to delete individually - e.g. we can click on either instance of "i think" and choose the one we like and quickly delete the one we don't like.
